Overview

Duty Managers are responsible for the smooth running of the center day to day. They are the organisational focal point for the team. They motivate the team, ensure that everyone knows their role for the day and provide them with breaks and support.

They must also ensure that the customer service policy is adhered to and that customers have the best possible experience while in the centre.

There are a lot of processes that are required during any given day, from opening up check sheets, cashing up, etc and the Duty Managers must ensure these are completed consistently and to a high standard. But they must also be ready to deal with unscheduled issues such as first aid incidents or issues with the building, etc.

Our Duty Managers are the role models for the all-rounder team. They must be capable of completing all the main jobs in the centre such as reception, instruction and cafe work to a high standard so that they set a perfect example to the all-rounders to follow.

Shifts can be on any day of the week and can start early and/or finish late. Therefore Duty Managers need to be flexible in the hours they work.

Being a Duty Manager is very rewarding. On busy days it is a fast-paced role that requires quick thinking and organisation. On quieter days there is plenty of organisation to complete that will help you to progress your experience and career.
