A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Mile End Climbing Wall for an in-house Route Setter.

Mile End Climbing Wall (MECW) is the trading name of the charity Development through Challenge (DtC).

We are looking for someone who is as passionate about providing great route setting for our dedicated and diverse community of climbers as we are. The ideal candidate is a team player, committed to professional development and open to feedback.

Commitment, adaptability, and a desire to learn are more important than being the strongest climber in the room. 2-3 years of regular setting experience is preferable.

We offer a range of benefits including free climbing for you and a plus-one and company sick pay.

To apply please send a current CV along with a supporting statement outlining why you would be the right candidate for this role to ariana@mileendwall.org.uk.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 20th April 2023.

We reserve the right to close the recruitment process before the above date if the right candidate comes along early in the process.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women, people of colour and people with disabilities are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Development through Challenge, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace therefore if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles!

Closing Date: 20th April

I am interested but I would like to know more. I don't have 2-3 years experience but I am keen to learn.
