Flash Climbing Centre is in search of a Head Route Setter. As a small, independent centre in the Midlands with big ambitions, we continuously invest in our climbing facilities to better serve our community. This summer, we're excited about our latest development: the only Kilter board in the Midlands!

Community spirit is vital to the Flash climbing experience. As the Head Route Setter, you will be pivotal in shaping customers' climbing experiences on our walls. Working with the setting team, you'll help uphold the excellence of our bouldering routes, ensuring they are top-notch, creative, and consistent, catering to everyone from elite athletes to complete beginners. Your role includes managing both internal and external setting teams, collaborating on in-house competitions and development programs (such as the Academy youth team and NICAS programmes), overseeing orders for holds, hardware, and other resources, as well as their maintenance and guiding the setting strategy for the centre.

Additionally, you will undertake some coaching, including our youth squads, and will contribute to the centre to guarantee that both bouldering and coaching meet our high standards of customer service.

This role offers flexible hours with a pro rata salary of £26pa depending on experience. Open to either a PT or FT position with a flexible starting date.
