Centre Manager – 40 hrs per week

Rock Over Climbing now have an exciting and rare opportunity for the right person to take on the role of Centre Manager of our Bolton & Sharston Centres.

Rock Over Climbing is a Manchester based independent climbing group of 3 centres, beginning with Central opening in 2010 followed by Bolton and Sharston 2022 and 2023. We are now looking for the right person to head up our Bolton and Sharston centres directing the team and building on our strong community roots.

Job Specification:

You will be expected to develop the centre further through your own initiative as well as expanding on opportunities brought to you by the management team.

You will be supported by an experienced staff and management team who will help you settle into the Rock Over Climbing. Over time you will lead and strengthen your centre staff through recruitment and the continual training of front of house duties and new operating procedures.

Essential Qualities:

The right candidate will be an experienced climbing wall / leisure professional with a demonstrable record of managing a team. We are looking for a person who can seek out and develop relationships with schools and groups within the local area as well as continuing to grow an already established customer base.

Desirable:

Hold coaching or instructor qualifications

Previous experience of climbing coaching and instruction

Previous experience as managing in a leisure centre/climbing centre

Previous experience in a retail environment

Hours/Salary:

40 hours per week across all 3 ROC Centres

This role will include regular weekend and evening shifts

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 depending on experience
