Vacancy: Head Coach
Salary: £29,000 - £30,000
Hours: 40 hrs per week, inc. evenings & weekends
Holiday: 33 days per year
Line manager: Centre Manager
Relocation Bonus: Considered for the right candidate

Redpoint is looking for a New Head Coach, to lead our extensive instruction and coaching programme. Working as part of a team they will help Redpoint deliver it’s mission statement of ‘Growth through Community and Challenge’. Displaying a ‘Growth Mindset’ in their approach to Coaching and their role as Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
- CWDI Qualified
- BMC Fundamentals 1 - 3
- Development Coach Trained
Required Experience
- Delivered a wide variety of climbing sessions for all ages and abilities
- Experience of coaching / instructing at a busy climbing wall
Essential Qualities
- Computer literate
- Diligent administration
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- A deep understanding of what makes excellent customer service
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Desirable Qualities
- Personal climbing to a good standard (V5 Boulders, 7a Sport or above)
- Mentored or trained new coaches previously
- Management experience (of departments or people)
A Successful Candidate will:
- Have a passion and enthusiasm for instructing and Coaching Children and Adults of all abilities.
- Have a desire to continually improve the standard of instruction and coaching they and their team deliver.
- Have developed their coaching skills to a high level and can effectively pass on their knowledge to their team.
- Have the ability to develop our product offering and session participation
- Be able to work as part of the management team assisting other managers in achieving operational and developmental goals
- Be able to act as NICAS Course Director for Redpoint
- Be able to Duty Manage in the centre
