About the role:

Calling all marketers. London Climbing Centres is looking for a Junior Marketing Manager to join the team.

We’re on the hunt for a crafty, creative copywriter, with a penchant for paid-ads and a specialty in SEO, to help support the 8 London Climbing Centres in the capital.

This is a unique opportunity to help grow and shape LCC’s marketing department and strategy over the coming years.

You’ll be reporting to the Head of Marketing and will be expected to work independently, as well as alongside the Head of Marketing and other members of the management team, in a number of key areas.

These include email marketing, SEO and the website, PPC adverts and campaigns, social media management, including both paid-for and organic content, and general marketing support.

About you:

  • You’re an experienced marketing professional with 3+ years of experience in B2C marketing, familiar with all common marketing platforms.
  • You’re an enthusiastic, organised, quick-learner who’s capable of working independently and as part of a wider team. You recognise that marketing is as much about commercial successes and improvements as it is about brand building.
  • Bonus points for candidates with a broad understanding and experience working in the fitness industry or family activities. And of course, top marks if you share our love of all things climbing!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the head of marketing, regional management team, and centre managers in all marketing efforts
  • Implementation of ad campaigns across all digital platforms to support the growth the London Climbing Centres
  • Focused attention on SEO and the LCC website to ensure our website best communicates our offering and is easy to find, navigate and purchase from
  • Planning and implementing impactful direct email marketing communications, including regular email newsletters
  • Implementation of marketing strategy, inclusive of yearly fitness trends, events, academic terms, and holiday offerings across our centres
  • Clear monthly reporting of marketing efforts, use of budget, and development of KPIs
  • Development of guidelines and training to support social media assistants at each centre

Role Requirements

  • Marketing all-rounder with 3+ years of experience (social media, SEO, email marketing, paid ads, etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience of B2C marketing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, specialist team
  • Strong analytical background, data fluent and able to track and report metrics
  • Project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Excellent collaborative working and communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting skills, preferably industry relevant
  • Good knowledge of the world of climbing (or equivalent sport) and an understanding of our broad customer base

Salary & Perks

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week (part time considered, please include weekly hours expectation if this is the case).
  • £34-38k dependent on skills & experience
