'Kendal' is the biggest event of its type in Europe and it's the main social event for outdoor enthusiasts in the UK. As ever there'll be hundreds of film screenings including many high-profile premieres, plus loads of speakers and special guests making this a must-do long weekend in the Lake District.
It's looking like a great year for climbers and mountaineers with Peter Habeler, Tim Macartney-Snape, Timmy O'Neill, the Pou brothers Eneko and Iker, Lucy Creamer, Steve McClure, Gavin Pike and Eddie Barbour amongst the names announced.
From the wider world of outdoor adventure there's the globe-trotting biker Mark Beaumont talking about his latest gruelling adventures, plus David James on mountaineering in Afghanistan. Cameron McNeish and Richard Else will talk about the Live Climb project from the BBC featuring Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmett on Sron Ulladale, and there's the chance to see two of the most well-known names in mountain photography; John Cleare and Colin Prior.
