Plas y Brenin's second Big Funny Walk is set to take place on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of January. The plan for the weekend is plenty of laughs, good food and relaxed walking with like-minded companions in beautiful surroundings. It's part of PyB's 'Big' events series; check their website for information on other events.
The Itinerary
When you arrive on Friday evening, you'll be able to choose from a menu of carefully selected routes for the following day. These guided walks will range from gentle to challenging, and a day of basic ixe axe and crampon skills is another option. At the end of the day you'll meet up with the other walking groups over a glass of mulled wine and fresh mince pies, with the Snowdon horseshoe as a view from the comfort of the PyB bar. This will be followed by a hearty evening meal and possibly a drop of PyB's locally brewed real ale. The after dinner entertainment will be provided by three stand up comedians. Again, there will be a menu of walks to choose from on Sunday. After your day on the hill freshly baked cakes will be provided to fill you up before your journey home.
All your meals (including your packed lunch), afternoon tea and cakes, accommodation, some great comedy entertainment and two day's guided walking in some of the most stunning mountains the UK has to offer - all for just £170. That should bring a smile to your face. For more information and to book, click the link below.
