In the course of extensive tests on used via ferrata sets with rope friction based shock absorbers, Mammut has ascertained that these systems could fail in the event of a fall. To eliminate any risk for our customers, we have decided to immediately withdraw all via ferrata sets with rope friction based shock absorbers from the market. Other brands have taken the same steps.
