Premier Post: Climbing Wall Manager East Kilbride Based in the ever growing Playsport complex in East Kilbride, Pro-Climb was established in early 2016. It is a unique facility to East Kilbride and comprises of 14 lines at 10m high with scope for top roping and lead climbing.

The aim of our wall is to ensure that climbing is accessible to as many participants as possible. If you are a novice looking for a fun introduction to the world of climbing or a regular looking to push your grade through the winter months.

Pro-Climb are looking to appoint a climbing wall manager who has the knowledge and the mind set to develop the climbing centre aspect of the business as a serious competitor in the industry.

The successful candidate will confidently be able to develop the current systems and ensure the centre is conducted with the highest levels of safety and guidance. This will include updating risk assessments and operating procedures as required. Creating a programme of courses for a range of participants from young children through to NICAS and developmental levels. Employing appropriate staff who are qualified and trained to deliver all activities.

The wall offers competent climbers use of the facility under the supervision of a floor walker as well as facilitated sessions for novices and improvers alike.

The role will include overall responsibility for the site in absence of the General Manager which will include management of the 5 & 7 a-side football and licenced bar operation with evening and weekend work essential.

Duties:
• Maintain the climbing centre systems and current standards
• Ensure safety and customer care are maximised
• Promote the climbing centre to novices and elites
• Develop a programme of courses for all participants
• Key holder
• Delivering staff training when required
• Staffing rota
• Overseeing and assisting the delivery of NICAS
• Telephone skills and bookings
• Management of football and licenced bar operation

Experience and Qualifications:
• SPA or CWA or Higher

Desirable Skills:
• Route Setting
• Knowledge of NICAS
• Fundamentals awards
• Personal Licence Holder
• First Aid
