Premier Post: Job: Climbing Duty Officer in Guildford! Are you the type of person that gets noticed for their friendliness and smile? Do you love helping others to gain more insight of the climbing world? Surrey Summit wants to hear from you.

We are looking for a new Duty Officer to join our team for 36 hours per week, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

You’ll be helping to keep up our renowned team moving forward as we continue to grow. This role of Duty Officer will join the team of Senior and other Duty Instructors and will be delivering:

NICAS levels 1-5
Schools, Scouts and Youth groups
Beginner courses
Learn to Lead
Our very popular kids’ casual sessions from age 4+
Coaching regulars on our busy open evenings
As a Duty Officer you will have opportunities to:

Furthering yourself with qualifications (CWLA, coaching award schemes, RSA)
Route setting roped walls and bouldering
Use of the facilities within Surrey Summit and Surrey Sports Park.
Candidates should have CWA assessment, or be working towards this, and have knowledge of NICAS. You should be motivated and very keen to help others progress in climbing and always have a smile and sense of humour. You should also have at least 2 years of personal climbing experience, and any previous experience of instructing would be helpful (although not essential).

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure & Barring Service check.
