Mountain Extreme http://mtnextreme.com is Dubai’s largest indoor climbing wall. Our bouldering wall, and varied climbing routes have established Mountain Extreme as the go-to place for anyone to discover, practice and enjoy indoor rock climbing.
Mountain Extreme is also the Petzl regional Expert Center and we also sell other brands in the shop inside the climbing wall (La Sportiva, Boldrini, Sterling)

We are looking for a Climbing Wall Instructor to join our team based in Dubai. With an exciting and active array of activities and programming, this is a busy, involved and challenging role.

About The Role

As a Climbing Wall instructor, you will be providing overall day-to-day customer service and support to ensure a safe climbing environment.

In this role, you will be expected to be very organized in dealing with a number of activities that take place simultaneously. The ability levels vary at the wall so you will have to quickly gauge the climber’s level and make sure he’s safe at all times.

You will also be responsible for providing advice regarding equipment to clients .

About You

You are fun-loving and friendly yet safe and professional. Ideally, you have the British Climbing Wall Award or US Climbing Wall Instructor certification. You have already worked either outdoors or indoors and have a good knowledge of PPE.

Pay
Full time position
€1000 per month + commission on direct membership and gear sales
Accommodation and transportation to work provided

Our Ideal Candidate

• Has 1-2 years of climbing wall or outdoor teaching climbing work experience

• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills – you will be expected to answer customer’s questions, give tours of the wall to new climbers, answer customer calls and emails.

• Is self motivated (is used to setting his own deadlines and goals) • Loves climbing (doesn’t have to be an 8a climber but should demonstrate proficiency in belaying, lead climbing and a good knowledge of climbing gear)
