The Association of British Climbing Walls Training Trust (ABCTT) is a small educational charity who deliver progressive schemes that provides a gateway from indoor climbing, to a pathway of life-long participation in climbing and mountaineering. Since its creation in 2008, our inaugural scheme NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme) has introduced over 100,000 young people to climbing. Our bouldering scheme, NIBAS, has been a fantastic addition in recent years.

The ABCTT strengthened its board in 2016 with the appointment of 4 new trustees. We are now recruiting a trustee, to replace a long standing trustee who has reached the end of their term. This person needs to represent an ABC (Association of British Climbing Walls) member wall; we value the input from our trustees who have current experience of delivering our scheme(s). In addition, we are looking for this person to bring added value to the table, with skills that will aid both strategic planning, and with the promotion of our schemes.

We are also looking for a trustee (who may or may not work in the climbing wall industry, so may or may not represent an ABC wall) who particularly brings marketing and communications experience to the table as one of our non-ABC trustees is relocating abroad.
