80m, 2 pitches. The Steep icicles that form to the right of quartzvein scoop.

Ticklists: Cold Climbs.

a lot of snow on Glen Orchy Road, but we managed to get in and out. We were the first to make trail - more swimming than walking. But we were rewarded with a great route. My first grade VI, and really challenging - and I did not lead the crux. Lots of teams on Quartzvein, Peter Pan, and Neverneverland.

Lots of snow on the approach made it hard. The ice was more brittle than I expected but in fair condition. The drive on the snowed wee road to the farm in the night was an adventure itself.

Great route, very continental. Tres humide today though!

Removed the ice one axe was in placing the other. Steepest ice to date. Attempted quartzvein scoop afterwards but warming conditions made the hanging icicles of damacles enough to make us run away - needs a good freeze!

Nice steep ice with a scary cornice exit at the top. Emily graciously let me lead it all and got lots of hot aches instead!

Did a monster pitch to just below the final icy headwall. Tackled the first icefall head-on, but outflanked the second as it wasn't quite there.
