Rockfax Description
Steep, pumpy and awesome. This route takes on the steeper side of slate, and it is obligatory to shout 'Whey aye man' from the lower-off, or a scream of frustration should you fail. Start up either the slab, or the steep wall, to reach a bolt at the top of the slab. An exciting traverse right gains the niche, a hard move left past another bolt provides the first crux and leads to the pumpy headwall. From a large flat hold, a difficult move leads up and right to the arete, before the route finishes back left to the lower-off. © Rockfax

End of the day play. Bit of a waterfall due to previous night's rain and bailed near the top after seeing more rain incoming. Looked like a fun one to come back for though.

Fell off top move on 1st redpoint! Wet hold, gutted. Amazing route, one of the best sport routes in the quarry's. Super technical climbing on the upper part.

Excellent sustained route. Had multiple attempts at the crux sequence and got increasingly boxed, finally managed it by starting right from the bolt (saving on a few moves to get to that point). Much easier after the crux but still had to have a couple of rests on bolts and climbed very slowly as was pretty knackered.

what a route! amongst the best sport 7s ive done. totally didnt expect to onsight this - brilliant, enaging, quite technical yet still fairly physical and keeps going. one of slate's finest!
