Booked use of the meeting circle space below the Lazy Day Sector (routes Brian to Blackberry inclusive) has priority over climbing.
The woodland which includes the approach and the climbing between the hostel parking and the hostel itself is owned by the Grith Pioneers who are happy to allow public access to the woods and for climbing to take place.
The area of land behind the hostel and including the Lazy Day and Woodshed climbing areas are leased by the Grith Pioneers to the hostel. The hostel management are happy to welcome climbers and maintain a positive relationship with climbers and the BMC.
Climbers should at all times be mindful of and respectful of other woodland users.
Access Restriction
The meeting circle area below the Lazy Day Sector (routes Brian to Blackberry inclusive) is used by the hostel as a bookable space for hostel users and community groups.
If climbers arrive and find that the meeting circle space below Lazy Day Sector is booked and in use or if you are asked to leave this space to allow an activity to take place then they should do so politely as soon as is practically possible. At these times it will still be possible to climb in the Woodshed and Hostel area at these times.
There is signage on site to indicate this agreement.
The hostel website may be a useful point of reference for regular events but the space can be booked at any time. Events are sometimes publicised on their Facebook page.

Failure to follow this agreement may result in a loss of access.

βeta: Fantastic problem. I don’t think any of the holds on the right flake of double fantasy are in, as I previously used a foot on the flake, which made it a bit easier. | βeta? | |
