Rockfax Description
Western Grit's tough answer to The Peapod; a classic struggle but a classic nonetheless. The narrow central section is an uphill battle especially for those who are large in the chest or short in the arm! The final section gives glorious jamming. © Rockfax

Duncan Campbell 19 Jul, 2016 Lead O/S Well green! Found it hard but I'm crap at this sort of shizzle. Nearly fell off at the top of the groove. Too hard to be E1 - this is a definitive HVS grovel. The sort of thing Joe and Don are known for.

chrishedgehog 24 Jun, 2015 Lead OMG! What the £^*$ was that?! Left hand jamming, three flailing limbs. Medium to long run-out up to the block as I couldn't imagine how to let go long enough to put gear in. Prepared to swing down onto a cam below me early on, got wedged above it purely by accident so decided against jumping off, had a rest and then got on with it and did it, so sort of clean onsight...! Humid, midgy, green, bit dank, can't move my arms today. Most effort ever expended to gain 20ft. They didn't have cams in 1948. What a route.
