Rockfax Description
An immaculate climb taking the central challenge of the Gwynt. Start at the foot of the grey pillar in the centre of the face. Climb the left-hand side of the pillar to a big thread. Continue to a roof and pull over leftwards. Move right to a line of pockets and follow these to the belay of Appian Way. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
Re-geared in 2013 with 9 bolts (4 new ones) and a double bolt lower off. Grade confirmed at hard 8a. One of the very best routes on The Ormes.

Fa(aid) R.Edwards, F.Harvey 25.9.72, Sections climbed as part of bittersweet connection. Main pitch climbed by R.Fawcett 7.83, regeared and reclimbed after losing some crucial holds by A.Pollitt in 1988.

Amazing climbing. dogged up then tried on top rope, nearly did in two halves which was happy with for second go and considering how slippy it was. should go in better conditions. crazy moves!

Third red point over two sessions. Great route, amazing crux move. Foot hold broke on the crux, setup now involves a heel hook which is about the same grade and actually rather cool!
