Restricted Access
Ramshaw is home to some of the hardest routes in Britain and most of them are graded HVS - a Yosemite style tape job is the only access requirement! There are no access problems at the main crag. However, do not try and climb at Lady Rock (the buttresses on the far right above the farm house), these are not on access land, the owner lives very close and has been confrontational.

βeta: Anyone who is confused: For V7 you do not use the jug rail deep over the lip, just the crap holds on the front of the lip. Its around f6B/+ with the jug rail. V7 crux is the getting from the SS to the big slopey shelf and its those two/three hard moves that make the problem (I'd say V6/V5 on their own - hard). You the traverse as far right as possible and top out in the same groove as Collywood. If you top out as for Early Esk Ape its probably still worth f7A or f6C+ but I think doing the top out pumped is what knocks it into f7A+ | βeta? | |
