350m, 19 pitches.

Rockfax Description
350m. A long and pleasant route with a beautiful views.
1) 3c. From the wooden sign, climb the grassy slab and wall (3c) and then a short grassy section to two bolts. Above is a 10m wide section of grass - cross this and climb the steeper wall above for 15m (3c) to another two bolts.
2) Cross a near-horizontal slab (slippery and mossy when wet - you'll be glad of the bolts even if it is little more than a walk) heading towards some orange rock on the far side of a shallow gully which is 35m from the two bolts.
3) 3b. Climb the wall above and left of the orange rock for 10m (3b) then head right to gain a huge open gully/scoop of slabs.
4) Climb the slabs with very spaced bolts but minimal technical difficulty, drifting leftwards. The bolts are new and well placed so you can usually see the next one from wherever you are.
5) The rock gradually steepens and improves in quality after 150m and leads you into a left-leaning corner/ramp which is followed to a tree next to two bolts. Scramble up and left to a cairn and a path which leads nicely to the Buvette in 5 minutes from the top of the route.
Descent - From the top follow a clear path which leads straight to the Buvette des Mottets in 5 minutes. From the Buvette follow the well-signed path down to either Chamonix or Les Bois - about 1 hour to descend. © Rockfax

Petarghh 25 Jul, 2013 Lead O/S Really nice climb, no move harder than v diff. A couple of pitches are walks really on granite slabs. Would be a perfect first route of the season to move together on to get into the swing of long climbs. Cafe at the top is a bonus !
