Rockfax Description
This burly climb follows the steep crack in the narrow east facing wall. Of the climbs here, this one probably has more scalps on its belt than the others since not only is it steep and sustained, but it also has a mysteriously technical move at the top. Follow the crack above a small cave, past one rest to another below a steep section. There are plenty of holds, though lots of them are not very useful! © Rockfax

wet, greasy and hard for grade = failure.

First choice was Under the Influence but it felt slick in the sun, so went to its shady companion. Tricky spotting holds through the steepness, probably quite a bit easier if chalked.

So hard!! Was not a fan of laybacking the slopey overhanging block in the middle, E4?! Come onnnnn.

tim newton 16/Aug/14 2nd O/S

Wild and well hard, in fact harder than nearly all the Pembroke E5's I've done, and this was just on second. Hard to read with sustained sequences and hard for 6a too. Made Under the Influence and Downward Bound feel easy-ish in comparison, and they're both hard enough for the grade.

The last route of a great day in the sun. Found the perfect sequence straight away, so felt the easiest of all the other E4s around it.

Felt nails! Only just got the crux. Fell off on the first tricky bit first go, got second time.
