stratandrew 29 Jun AltLd rpt Led pitch 1, ran 3 and 4 together. Then scrambled 5 and 6. Stevie led pitch 7 (red wall P1) then as I was half way up pitch 8 somehow managed to knock his rucksack of his belay ledge which proceeded to dive down the crag. It totally disappeared! Tom Redwood 17 Nov, 2018 Lead O/S Bit of a gamble given the time of year and crag reputation but boy did it pay off. Wet first pitch, second a little committing for the grade being damp but after that dry with fantastic moves. Lizzie coped well, seconding with ease and veiled most of the nervousness! After lunch on the half way ledge we decided to forego the continuations and went up left on the faster 'scrambles', more like D so 4 more pitches to protect the second. Fantastic day out in occasionally cloudy but mostly sunny November weather!

Lizard Ollie 8 Apr, 2017 AltLd O/S Beginning with an initial detour around the lake instead of heading to what was quite obviously our destination, we decided that as it was the hottest day of the year, and possibly the nicest day there has ever been in Wales, it would be good to sit in the shade all day and watch everyone else enjoy it. After straying off route somewhere around the third pitch we arrived in an area with similar structural rigidity to a house of cards in a typhoon. A few dislodged blocks later, I finally made it to the red wall ledge. However, being an absolute liability of a team, almost to the point of comedy, the faff did not stop there. A red cam fell from the anchor while Jess was taking it apart and plunged down to a ledge 2 pitches below. After a pause to fully absorb what had actually just happened and regain emotional control, Jess then down-climbed on top rope to fetch the cam before joining me at the red walls ledge. See 'Terminal Arete' for Part 2...

AndyRogers 2 Apr, 2017 AltLd dnf Beyond wet. Trying to climb here the day after 3 days of rain was a poor choice. Bailed on p2 . Must be 4 million percent better when dry because from what we found it was a guppy sloppy pile of $#×! Defo not worth a single star in these conditions. Also the walk in ruined us!

Maia 8 Aug, 2010 2nd dnf Huw and I went first, but went off route on 2nd pitch. Pete and Inga found route and passed to complete 2nd and 3rd pitches. Huw and I did 2nd pitch then we decided it was too late to finish the route so down-climbed. A lot of experience down-climbing in hiking boots. My first time climbing in hiking boots so a learning experience there. No great disappointment at not finishing, we all had a good day out and got some time climbing- will return to do it properly now we know where to go!
