beds74 10 Jul, 2015 AltLd Chris did 1st pitch, wet and greasy! Very tricky move at the top of crack that is 5a. He missed traverse out...I led last pitch which for VS I would have said E1 for protection. After the (loose) spike I had a micro cam in for 4/5 metres. Fine but not VS. Old school baloney!

AndyMcCoy 27 Jul, 2013 AltLd O/S Tony Led the approach pitch. Despite the recent heatwave the gully was green and nasty so he went round to the right. I led the excellent first pitch, 4c, and P2 (4a) but overshot it and so led P3 too, wondering why it seemed like an exposed 4c. That left Tony leading the scramble off.

Steve Waters, Mynydd 21 Jul, 2013 AltLd I led P3. Pitch 1 is 3* fun in the dry. Care is required on P3 to keep the sling on the spike for long enough to get gear in higher up otherwise (I imagine) a gibber may ensue. (Weighting the sling down with spare gear would help). The gangway left was trickier than expected.

stratandrew 25 Mar, 2012 AltLd O/S Approach pitch (P1 of intermediate Gully) was nasty and we did on the right instead. Me P1 & P3. Colin P2. P1 'greasy crack' was OK providing you just used it for gear and kept yer fingers out. the step onto the arete was bold and unprotected. P3 traverse to the spike delightful and the holds then excellent. protection sparse. Fantastic Route. Very highly recommended.

The Wild Scallion 19 Jun, 2010 Lead O/S Didn't start the great looking final pitch due to possible sunstroke of my partner. The first pitch, discounting the pitch up the start of intermediate gully was quite hard but well protected. The second pitch was badly protected.

Andy S 24 May, 2010 AltLd O/S AWESOME climb! (for the main pitch - pitch 3 I think, up the arete). Easily one of the best VS's I've ever done. Led the two 4c pitches. Luke did the heinous pitch 1 of Intermediate Gully (I think it's called). It's got no gear so it's a solo - well done to that man! (the pitch can be protected with a big enough cam, mind)

jonny taylor 30 May, 2009 AltLd O/S P3 felt very bold above the loose spike. Also, notice that the guidebook says "start from the top of P1 of intermediate gully", not "climb P1 of intermediate gully". If you're not good at traditional technique then that's probably the hardest part!
