The National Trust (who own the Dewerstone and surrounding land) are happy to allow climbing access but ask that abseil descent from trees is not used to prevent damage to the trees.
Dates: 21 April to 30 June
Reason: Nesting Birds
Kestrels are nesting on Upper Raven Buttress - it is worth avoiding these rarely visited climbs while the birds are nesting and it is likely that the young will have fledged by the end of June.
Rockfax Description
Right of a corner is another section of slab. Head up the left-hand side of the slab to the capping overhang. Using high holds, traverse left a short way until the slab above the overhang can be gained, with the top lying just above.
Direct Finish - VS 5a - Pull direct over the overhang. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
Climb the left side of the slab to the overhang (good nuts), reach over to good
holds and traverse left, until a step up leads to the upper slab. The overhang can also be surmounted direct, using a good hold and heel hook ~ hard 5a. Moving up right, under the overhang, to join Mambo Slab, is Severe.
