A great adventure day which you're unlikely to forget for some time. Each pitch deserves a name really, as they're all memorable for very different reasons. The ivy pitch in particular will stay with me for some time...

Ed Booth 11/Mar/17 AltLd O/S

A full on adventure that felt more like completing a winter climb on Shelterstone. Wet and loose rock and the turbo charged Ivy p2. All in all a very good adventure route and pretty sustained the whole way. Fun day ( apart from the cars below and people below waiting to catch rocks!!)

Adam Booth 11/Mar/17 AltLd O/S

Biggest adventure I've had for some time.

Pitch 1*: Loose at bottom, wet at top, quality in middle. Pitch 2: Muddy & vegetated. Pitch 3&4***: Quality. Pitch 5*: Don't get tempted by the wire!

Some good climbing interspersed with a lot of vegetation. Led all pitches except P2. One fall on the final pitch after going off route (don't follow my stuck wire).

Cheddar adventure climbing at it's best! I led pitches 2 and 4+5 (run together). Sprained my ankle in a stupid fall (onto a tied-off peg!) on p2 - complacency got the better of me. Pulled the ropes and led it clean. Topped out just in time, with darkness falling and a mist rolling into the gorge.

Alex Winter 06/Dec/13 AltLd O/S

Mint! Led pitches 1 and 3. Took about five and a half hours. Was utterly bollocksed by the final pitch - managed to just about claw over the top in a big dirty, sweaty mess before it got dark. Great line - ought to get more traffic.

P1,3,4/5. Three tops and a jacket, two pairs of trousers, hat, balaclava, scarf, gloves, socks under my climbing shoes and trainers to wear at the belays; and it was still colder than Calshot.

Good route. Max cycled to the crag. Shonky pegtastic.

Did the first 3 pitches (all clean) then abbed off. Various excuses made - mostly lack of light and a tired Mike! Will be back to finish off when I get the chance. P3 felt hard.

Awesome. Pitch 1 bolder than it looks with a bit of dodgy rock, pitch 2 is a dordle then the fun starts. Good quality rock, exposed and steep and topping out into warm winter sunshine. The crow indeed lives on!!

possibly the slowest ascent ever - 7 hours up and down. had a little hang on the last easy pitch

Marti999 07/Nov/07 Lead O/S

Don’t believe the guide. The age of the crow lives on. A 3 star classic the route is in good condition and not over vegetated. Led all the pitches, joined 4/5 together. Most of the pegs are poor but can be backed up. Take care on belays use high runners for back up. Get on it; easy for the grade.

I lead the first pitch, but found the route rather intimidating, so Stu led the rest

Much gardening en route. Pitch 3 was nails.

Clean ascent apart from slipping off seconding the last 5a pitch. Wasn't unreasonably vegetated. Lead P1 + P3. P3 is not 6a (but isn't 5b(!) neither) if you climb the vegetation up and left of the belay, but the bulge above was a bit urgent.

Took about 4 hours on a fantastic Autumn afternoon. One of the best climbing experiences of my life.
