βeta: Did this as a schoolboy about three or four times between 1977 and 1980. The bolts were very old then. Some hangers were broken and we used 5mm cord on them all to protect them from further damage. The one round the lip had no hanger and we had to loop 2mm cord around the head...no wires then. I think we were ignorant of the danger of them all unzipping. I can’t imagine the state of them now 40 years later! | βeta?

βeta: I did this a couple of times back in the mid 1990s with Will. The bolts were old back then. You had to slip a wire over the bolt head and slid the nut back up the wire to lock it on behind the washer. Vic Tosh informed us that the bolts were not expansion bolts as such but whatever could be got back in the dim past when it was first done. I would certainly think twice about a nostalgic return now! | βeta?
