Rockfax Description
14m. A fine route - varied and technical. Climb to a standing position on the flake, then continue left and right by a tricky mantelshelf. Reachy moves gain easy ground. © Rockfax

Looked at soloing it above mats to start with, glad I didn't!

Tom (wimp) put a rope on it so had to really .....pretty easy

Fell once from around the rock over and hit a rock on rope stretch. Got it next go. Chuffed. Team effort to figure out the beta.

2nd go, with some gear in place, backed off the mantle the first time.

Boom!!! Proper happy to get this one! Did it 2nd go, hung around too long working out the crux first try and my toes pinged out the break. Next time up I just fully committed to the mantle and I smashed it , shame to blow the on-sight but you can't have everything! Whoever said that if your a good boulderer and can pull really hard then you'll fly past the crux on this is so full of shit it's untrue!

Took a good lob first try, would advise taking advantage of a similar weight or slightly heavier belayer.

Really enjoyable route, easy for those with a bouldering background!

Bottled the mantle and retreated first go, would have been easier to just commit than downclimb it. Went fine next go

A very interesting and exciting route with big throws and delicate mantles. Highly recommended.

Worked it a good few times on top rope to dial in the moves, in particular the mantle, before going for the lead. Great route with a solid potential for decking at the crux.

Fell on onsight attempt. Worked crux moves until could find a sequence as couldn't do it how ben had on his flash ascent. Hard crux with decent fall potential. Went fine on ground up go. Great line.

Climbed after rob, couldn't do it his way though so resorted to a rather terrible foothold and two handed mantel method... Awesome!

Took a few goes at the initial moves, the hardest part is definately the bottom but the mantle is scary! Wonderful line :D

peeled off the mantel on the onsight, hopped straight back on and got it second time. Interesting

It started to rain. That's my excuse - but i wasn't happy with what i managed to arrange in the break, tried the move up but wimped so i down climbed, just!

Oh dear, bit of a sad attempt with much resting and resorting to a top rope! Not my kind of moves, desperate rock overs on sandy crimps...
