Brilliant route, with two steep yet contrasting pitches. Not too dissimilar to Deep Cut Chimney on Hell's Lum. http://www.westcoast-mountainguides.co.uk/chimney-action-guardian-aonach-mor/

Good route again, pretty sustained so felt much longer than it was... quality second pitch trutching up behind the huge flake. Rucksack not helpful.

Kyle lead P1, and I, P2. The gear was hard to find. Kyle took 1h10m to lead P1, as a return favour. I kicked and knocked off the crucial gear on P2, and so basically soloed P2. It was partly because we were running late for the last gondola, which we missed after all the efforts.

I lead the first pitch and Masa the second. The route was very heavily rimed and hence very sparsely protected. Think weighted Bulldogs balanced on ledges protecting crux moves. I belayed at the base of the chimney crack and Masa ran it out to the top, finishing out left over overhanging ice before the cornice. Felt particularly serious on the day and took a long time to climb so we missed the last gondola down. Perhaps VI, 5 on the day.

Good contrasting pitches. Protection good especially through chimney
