Cracking route, cracking views, interesting climbing on the Groove up to the top of the pinnacle. Lead last two pitches

Struggled up first pitch, which seems well undergraded. More like HVS 5a. Couldn't find a suitable belay at top of the chimney, so bailed.

One of the few routes where the climb gets easier the higher you get. Hanging belay at the top of Pitch 1

Didn't fancy the first belay ledge so ran P1 and 2 together. P1 quite tough for VS.

Took a slightly different line due to moss on P2. Not as good as it looked from below and lots of loose rock on P3.

what a funny first pitch! Ran a few together missed the medusa combo due to rain.

Tom.Priestley 26/Jul/14 AltLd O/S

Lead P1 and P2 run together. Felt tricky for VS. A good couple of pitches. Had to bail out before Medusa wall due to rain.

Initial issues finding route, headed up to larger more obvious chimney first. Heather scrambling not the most fun. Ben lead square cut pitches in one, good moves.I did Medusa pitches in one. Nice positions.

Great route with superbly contrasting pitches, the bits you need are mostly moss free

A very windy day but classic climb. Led the first two pitches together, a lot of climbing in 30m of rock!

done in two pitches. one for square chimney, one for medusa wall. square chimney is quite mossy, but made up for by some good positions on medusa wall

First pitch only as subsequent pitches under a forest of moss. Continued on Bridges Route.

Will Hunt 22/May/10 AltLd dnf

Gareth did the first pitch clean, I seconded. The left slab looked filthy. Couldn't see a hold on it. I led up the right hand continuation crack to the first stance on the much more agreeable Bridges Route.

darren hudson 15/May/10 AltLd O/S

Climbed this on wet day, walls of chimney very damp and therefore very little friction, David led the main chimney pitch which was tough. Interesting how relatively easy VS grade can become much more of a challenge in different condiions.

Hard first moves because climbed onto right side of chimney when should have gone straight up to sloping ledge on left as in guide book

Continued from p1 of Square Chimney to the first belay of Bridge's Route, then ran pitches 2+3 of Bridge's together to bypass p2+3 of SC, before continuing up Medusa Wall.

Tough chimney start and a rather vegetated middle section.

Classic chimney, then mossy traverse. Suspect we ended up in an HVS chimney on 3rd pitch, and the top (Medusa Wall) didn't look inviting.

Left Leeds on a superb sunny but frosty morning. As we approached the crag the clag came in and boy was it cold! Memorable day though - stumbled back to the car in the dark.
