βeta: Avoided loose block at the top by climbing the wall immediately to its left, at 5a-ish. The block is about 2.6 tonnes based on approximate dimensions of 1x2x0.5m. Still a good climb with protection available if the block is eliminated, but care still needed as the wall on the left hasn't had much traffic (some smaller loose pieces). | βeta?

βeta: The entire top section is going to fall down one day. If you hit if with your palm and use your other hand to map out the vibration you will sense it is a huge slightly overhanging block (perhaps 1x2x0.4m) that is no longer firmly attached, and which has small cracks appearing where it once was connected. It will probably remain in place for a number of years and support a number of climbers crawling over it, but one day it will go and I do not want to be near it then. To me, it was scary enough to back off and finish up the Promontory crack instead. | βeta?
