tomwalton 2 Feb AltLd Bottom most part of gully banked out with soft snow so solo’d to the icefall. Ice mostly good with some rotten sections below the lip. Next two pitches we moved together over easier ground. Finished with a walk around the Corrie and walked down to the ski centre.

Daniela Balslev 24 Feb, 2018 AltLd O/S Led pitch 1 (ice) and 3 (mixed) out of 4. Perfect conditions! (quick description - pitch 1 is 35 m of ice, 3 ice screws; pitch 2 is obvious, 60m consolidated snow, 1 nut; pitch 3 is mixed climbing, faint chimney direction left, more technical than a grade III,3 but well protected in rock; pitch 4 is a snow gully. Afterwards an easy walk to the top )

michaelb1 4 Feb, 2018 AltLd Climbed up grooves on snow ice at the bottom of the buttress and took the right hand side of the tower via grooves and steps. Traversed back left to a final short wall. I fell off this first go, much to Micks amusement. A nice route for a busy day.

team fat belly 5 Mar, 2017 - No risk with avi conditions. Park in the ski centre not blackrock cottage, there is a faint path from the ski centre round that avoids the worst of the bogs. Not a lot of ice or pro on the first pitch but the snow is firming up and the turf is pretty well frozen too.

Karlos 28 Dec, 2014 Lead O/S Lower ice not fully formed but enough to climb on. Snow on upper pitches just powder. Think we went too high on the right of the upper buttress, as by the time a wall forced us left we were above the start of the final gully and had to traverse into it. Never climbing on Pierce's '50m' ropes again!
