Rockfax Description
The smart arete is most often climbed following its right-hand side to start, and left to finish - excellent. It is also possible to start on the left and finish on the right - E1. © Rockfax

Definately worth the grade, cracking route but a bit of a scary crux. Greasy in places, could do with a bit more traffic

Moved from the right hand side to the left hand side just before the crux. I thought the moves were 5b and not at all obvious - with gear by your feet that equals E1 in my book.

adam carless 10/Aug/08 Lead O/S

A great route. I stayed on the RHS throughout - felt harder (probably still 5b) but more obvious than trying to figure out the moves around to the LHS. Deserves a star or two.
