Restricted Access
Seals breed in Parliament House cave during the autumn months and climbers should take particular care not to disturb them during the time from late August to late October when the young seal pups can be eailsiy sepreated from their mothers with devastating consequences.
A large (huge!) rockfall occured at the back of Parliement House Cave in 2017 which affects some of the routes in the cave and further rockfalls are likley!
Rockfax Description
The wall left of The Hustler. Steep, strenuous climbing on good rock. Start from the foot of The Hustler.
1) 5a, 20m. As for The Hustler.
2) 5b, 25m. Climb up leftwards to a spike runner. Continue above, then move right into the crack on the face. Climb the crack to the obvious horizontal break at about half-height. Follow this leftwards to the arete and belay.
3) 5b, 20m. Climb the crack on the right of the arete, then move left into the crack above the stance. Continue up this and the face on the right to the top.
4) 30m. Traverse right across the grassy ledge to a spike often slung with a rope.
