UKC

80m, 4 pitches. A truly magnificent and awe inspiring route.
1. 30m(5a) Pitch 1 Central Pillar Direct Start.
2. 18m(5a) Pitch 2 C.P. Direct Start.
3. 24m(6b) The initial belay has caused concern.
Traverse left to the steep wall, up and left to the slim corner. The moves to get on the ledge before the crux can be a little worrying. Usually there is a nut insitu on the crux. After a bulge follow a slab.
4. 9m (4c) Cross the wall to the arete.
After the flat hand hold go straight into the underclings which
lead into the corner. This is steady E2 climbing.

The climbing is stunning and the line is probably one of
the best in the UK.

Stoked to get this! Climbing scared from the start but just held it together. Thanks Dave for testing the gear on the entry to the groove for me first.

Gutted. Fluffed the moves before the crux. Committed to the wrong sequence and couldn't reverse. 2nd Jules. Do able - 6a climbing but lots of it.

Mega! Anna had a score to settle with the main pitch so she went first and then Abbed it. A few bits of gear were left in and I had a pretty good idea of what to do with the chalked up holds. Absolutely brilliant climbing topped off by A lovely barefoot walk down to the bags in the lush green grass. Deserves its mega classic rep. Beautiful location with no visible signs of man as far as the eye can see - a rare and beautiful thing!

Wanted to do this for years. Shame I had to do it whilst I had a shoulder injury, but maybe that's what gave us the impetus to do it.

What a great route, and what a line. Simon did the main bit.

My partner was being a pussy, so I did the main pitch. It was good.

Dreamt of doing this route for five years since I did central pillar and saw a team on it. The line, the name, great climbing and a real fight for me. What a route!

Mega! Had a failed attempt last year. Took a fall from the crux today (slightly damp still) before pulling the ropes and getting it second go. A king line for sure.

Had a silly slip at the bottom of the groove when my foot rolled off a dirty hold. Did it fine straight afterwards. Great climbing. Bomber gear.
