Restricted Access

Please Avoid the shore of the loch from March- end July as it is a criminal offence to disturb the Schedule 1 listed Slavonian Grebes nesting here. (They occupy the sedge beds at the loch edges and are very sensitive to disturbance. When disturbed they will abandon a nest, then go through the process of finding a mate, displaying and nest building all over again so it sets them back weeks if they are disturbed

Serious Access issues here

The rising arete coming out of the Pit on its uphill side.

Stand start in the pit far right on the large sloping foot ramp, duck under the roof to a hidden edge, Work your feet up and grovel round the front face for a sloper pinch for your left and a positive crimp for you right. Avoiding the block directly behind you.
Gazing up at the rounded lip and crack you now have to decide to either....
1. Be brave and throw for it hoping it will stick. {it doesn't}
2. Use the sloping crimp near the crack that you can reach statically BUT is utterly shit.{This doesn't work either}
3. Spend hours and hours trying every kind of trickery known to mankind in order to Top the Bugger out crapping yourself the entire time with the grim realisation if it goes wrong you will rattle to the earth like a pin ball. {We did this}
4. Have a BETA break through and climb it like it isnae there knowing the crux is to avoid the multiple dabs. {i advise this}

Top Out direct over the slab via the larger of the 2 cracks.

Grade - Int
