Rockfax Description
The classic journey up this wall is a stunning line, although a rockfall at the start and the absence of one of its protection pegs has made what was always a bold climb into a very serious proposition. It is usually started by abseiling to the first belay on The Main Event. Climb up to the well-defined groove on the right of the wall (poor protection) and move left onto the undercut wall. Make a thin traverse left to a reasonable hold and then rock up leftwards to reach small ledges. Now move right and up to a groove that is followed to a conspicuous peg. Continue up the wall above to a groove, from where some final tricky moves lead to the top. 45m long. © Rockfax

βeta: Good rock 4 in groove before launching on to 'upper wall'. Decent wires where first peg was, and rest is as it ever was. Get used to climbing on slate before launching, then you can really enjoy without being too scared ! | ||
