wjcdean 25 May Solo O/S A real adventure! Original plan was to head to ideal, but realised there was a fair chance this was reasonably dry so changed plan. It certainly wasn't dry, but probably as good as it gets. Probably should have told someone where I was going. Bottom section was humid, sweaty and full of midges and spiders. avoided notorious slab as it was literally covered in slime. Got very stuck around one of the jammed boulders, awkward and leg snapping territory. The exit to the dead end (right wall on small holds) was exciting given it had just started raining. Warrented grade 3 I thought. After that really good scrambling in impressive scenery, some loose bits and scree so definitely recommend helmets if in a group. Overall a great route I thought, haven't done anything else like it in Snowdonia and not as stressful as some comments on the forums suggested

PilarMartinez 16 Feb 2nd Well, big day out and a good one. Blowing a gale all day we decided to find something sheltered to scrambled and Bryant’s Gully seemed to be an option and it was indeed a good one. Out of the wind all the way up but WET WET, as you climb right on the stream that runs down from the top. We did use a rope all the way as we were pretty much scrambling on a running stream that actually had quite a lot of water and we knew it was going to be a bit challenging. Some slimming rock but actually it was not too bad. Some hard moves specially cos of the hand and foot holds under the running water. Overall it was a great route and and amazing experience. You are solid scrambling alll the way to the top and there is lots of variety along the route and great views too. The last 100 mts of the top section was the easiest and free of water once you are on the rib but for our delight started raining. We top out in a cloud so we couldn’t see a thing, also the 50 mile gale wind was very intimidating and extremely hard work trying to find the way down in the thick fog as you have to walk towards the summit then pick up a path which seemed to be miles away. We decided to drop down before the summit when a patch of clear cloud let us see the Valley so we worked out a more direct line to the path and we got back just with the last bit of day light, car to car took us 8 hours. It is a long but very good route if you are prepare to get a bit wet and keep calm :-)

Julesthe1st 16 Feb AltLd O/S Super good mountain day out. And good mountain training climbing in B2s and winter gloves. The gully was a waterfall for the most part and had many challenging (sketchy) sections. Continually interesting the whole way and exiting the wet gully onto the rocky outcrops of Esgair Felen in gale force winds meant continued excitement to the top. ( Pilar lost a pair of green glasses in case anyone finds 'em )

Astilath 17 May, 2017 Solo Amazing! So much fun, soaking wet and boots sloshing all the way. Walls of the gully make for awesome atmosphere. A scramble with running water to drink all the way. Luxury. Stemmed the flow for Em at one point, held back the urge to breach my hand dam and innundate him! Slippery holds give a more serious feel but no really tricky climbing.

LawrenceK69 11 May, 2017 Solo O/S been wanting to do this gulley for some time and well worth the wait. Warm, dry day. Very varied and long, nothing too serious although a lot of care needed where wet in lower half of the gulley. A little bit of thought needed in some of the exits (some chockstones and walls) from ravines. Top half in scree couloir and arete great fun - lots of loose/shattered rock so just need to be methodical! Linked in with a walk down Devil's Kitchen and then up Ideal Staircase / Continuation before returning to Llanberis Pass. Thoroughly enjoyable .... if tackle the gulley direct all the way through without side exits be prepared to get a little wet .....

MivecGPX 16 Apr, 2016 - Several set-piece challenges in here amidst pretty sustained scrambling all the way up. Unroped and no helmet so extra care taken just about everywhere, though beauty of gully ascents is that tumbles tend to be tiny. Watch out for falling scree tho! Glad we had a guide book as one of the cul-de-sacs had a less than obvious exit route up the "concrete wall" on the right, which was actually a mix of chossy rock and slimy weed. My thighs and triceps were spent by the time we emerged onto the loose, heavy duty scree and the last section along the arête was v slow going for me. Glad to reach the snow-clad summit and quench my thirst before the long descent. Recommended :-)

Rock very slipply even though The weather was good, it had been recently raining so the waterfall was flowing fast and made it more difficult. We did scramble without ropes, a grade 2 so ropes can be used. But if unsure and haven't scrambled much, don't attempt.
