Rockfax Description
More sustained and technical than its neighbour, with gear that is harder to arrange, and more spaced. Start by scrambling up to a small spike below the steep slab. Climb up to a small ledge at about 10m and move up and left to another small ledge. This is bold, but the climbing eases after the initial moves. Make sustained moves up a thin crack to reach another ledge below the final slab. Finish up a faint groove on the left. © Rockfax

The tiny spike you used to use for gear (once you'd made the initial bold moves) is now wobbling; not good!

Excellent as a warm up route, nice and slabby although once you leave the crack the gear dries up but the climbing is steady. It was a shame the first 6m or so was soaking from all the seepage but again it's not hard just a bit scary!

Felt bold and intimidating for a couple of moves. Great rock with nice moves.

Bold, but easy climbing, probably only 5a and soft E1

Bold 1st 25ft. Hard for the grade.

Bold start, but got 2 decent microwires in slot a few metres up, after much fiddling. Pilot error then took me too diagonal thru crux section, making it hard to gain next ledge. Not the easy ride I was expecting - but the first sea cliff of the year is always a bit of a slap in the psyche!

Quite easy climbing but the gear is a bit lacking. Not one for a first E1 lead. Need to quite steady. The small ledge at 3 meters holds water so the start can be a tad damp
