Rockfax Description
A highly-strung route of great quality that inches its way across the walls and cracks to the right of Ichabod.
1) 14m. Pitch 1 of Phoenix.
2) 5c, 34m. Follow Ichabod to the top of its shallow groove/corner. Traverse right to a crack in a slight corner and climb it until forced right again to another crack in a corner. Climb the crack and slabby rib above to a stance.
3) 5c, 16m. Move up to a V-notch and short corner on the right side of the overhangs above. Climb past them with difficulty to gain the top just above. © Rockfax

Jeremy Wilson 27 Jun Lead O/S Excellent rock, warm, bone dry and clean today, even the niche. Good gear throughout but much of it needs extension to control rope drag. I actually found the Ichabod traverse as hard as anything so don't be put off at that point. Once you trust your feet and get used to technical handholds, you will flow up it!

JohnHartley 25 May AltLd dnf Matt started off up the first pitch in the rain, took three big whippers on the crux then got it, i seconded it in the sopping wet by the absolute skin of my teeth. Got to be the hardest I’ve ever tried outdoors, full beans required! Finished up the last bit of ichabod instead, both rather soggy by this point.

Matt Amos 25 May Lead A fair bit harder than I realised, and I screwed myself with some bad rope drag. Fell of literally the last move of the first pitch... 3 times.

James Oswald 20 Jun, 2017 Lead O/S Good route. Got very very bad rope drag after I didn't extent the runner in the second corner enough. Was then worried about the rope drag lifting my runners for the crux out.
