Rockfax Description
The right-facing scoop just right of the centre of the slab gives good climbing.
1) 40m. Follow the scoop then move up and left to belay at the base of a corner.
2) 35m. Climb the corner - dirty in places - to the top. © Rockfax

Climbed underlay for 10-15m, then mantled onto slab to left. Easy but gearless ground for ~25m, somewhere to the right of Central Route. Maybe not a new route but certainly not much travelled, excavated a much needed cam placement for a belay at 45m from a muddy crack. Continued directly up to top out a few metres right of central route.

We might have gone off route ;) I think we finished near the top of central route.

interesting little climb with nice features, like the final exit at top if the safari variation is taken {Diff}

worthwhile route with an interesting variation if safari route is taken to finish. The corner on the original route is full of vegetation.

Led first pitch. Corner belay fine and not at all dirty as others described. Used one piece of gear as very good friction.

Very easy climbing, wasn't easy finding a decent belay on the route though

Climbed first pitch (scrappy, pulling on heather). Second pitch would have been nice, if it was dry

As I suspect with others, decided the corner of pitch 2 was far to dirty, so did the edge of the slab 'above' to finish. Gets the star for the first pitch.

friction that is only second to gritstone, very enjoyable route (routefinding is optional, protection is pretty sparse anywhere but the climbing is very easy. going into the horribly dirty corner as mentioned in the guidebook is entirely unnecessary)

Lovely climbing on good rock, excellent friction even after rain. There are a few sparse sections, but generally the holds appear where you need them (even when soloing). I found The Waved Slab (Mod) a much more scary solo. Walk-in from the old road is not as bad as it looks.
