Small cascades in Far Black Clough © mattwomersley
Excellent collection of weathered gritstone where few people tend to tread. Short on belay fodder at the top. Surprisingly sheltered overhanging section would probably offer good respite from the rain.
Park near the entrance to Woodhead Tunnel (off A628) SK114998 and cross bridge, follow track upstream, cross river feed and progress uphill for 15 minutes. The crag is deceptive from the top (hard to spot) and is best found by a pleasant walk up or down (from the track end) the stream.
|The new guide book diagram is completely wrong for routes 1-4, added to lack of discriptions its confusing.Take the old guide!|
