Great bouldering venue with many brilliant problems and some really quite challenging traverses! Mats are well advised due to the height of some of the problems however the landings are mostly nice and flat. Most of the routes are difficult with many of the best routes starting at 6a and above but there are some easier options as well. There is also some esoteric trad situated on the east face, however these suffer a lot from seepage.
More detailed route information can be found on Dave Henderson's www.javu.co.uk site which gives an excellent online guide to most of the moor and the surrounding area.
The wind can really funnel past Bulging Wall as there isn't much in the way of shelter some wrap up warm! If you're on your own remember a few pegs for the pad! The hidden traverse gets the evening sun and is sheltered in all but northerly winds making it a good option for a winter season trip.
Parking is availible on both western and eastern sides of the Tor with the walk in being around 300m. The hidden traverse is situated around 100m north of bulging wall.
