Crag features

An open, pleasant west facing crag with easy access from Feizor. The crag gives generally short routes on rock that is typically sound but the fractured nature of the rock combined with limited traffic means caution is required. The far-left end of the crag is quarried, broken and lies above an old lime kiln. Good belays above all the buttresses at the top of the crag.

Approach notes

The no climbing sign at the left end of the crag is hopefully an artefact from a bygone era. Access has been refused in the past, but the crag is now on Open Access land so climbing is permitted.

No Access Issues

If challenged by the landowner remain amicable and report the incident to the BMC. There have been incidents involving dogs and livestock, please remember the sheep in this vicinity are the landowners livelihood. Keep your pet under control and on a lead during lambing (March - July) or when livestock are grazing near the crag.

Went up 24/07/14 a new sign on rock steps to the left of the crag now reads "Danger, Loose Rock, Climbing Prohibited at all times" and a couple of blocks have been prised loose. Have notified the BMC

We were told to leave by the farmer (10/4/14) which we did but turns out he had no grounds for his request.

A lovely spot. There are magnificant views over many local crags from the top. The little cafe in Feizor is excellent.
