The Hill is on the border ridge between England and Scotland and it can be approached from the College Valley and up the Hen Hole. Its summit forms part of the Pennine Way so any access onto the Pennine Way will lead you to the summit.
From Kirk Yetholm via the Penine Way approx. 9 miles there and back.
Sourhope to summit and back approx. 6.6 miles
From Langleeford via the Cheviot is approx. 15.5 miles round trip
Hethpool directly to the summit is approx. 10.5 miles there and back
Mounthooly YHA via the hen hole and Cheviot then a more direct route back is approx. 9.5 miles
Mounthooly YHA direct to summit and back is just short of 3 miles.
