Northern Wayfarer
I had a health scare in January 2016 and needed to do something about my fitness. So took up hill walking. I started walking 1 mile up and down a hill near where I lived every day. A month later, I upped it to 2 miles. Another month to 5 miles. By the end of March I was walking a 10 mile hike every week and between 2-5 miles daily. In May I attempted my first long distance trail which failed after 16miles due to cramps and getting lost. I completed the trail over the summer months and it introduced me to my first summit in June.I then went on to bag all the Hewitts in Northumberland. With the shortening daylight hours, I bagged all of the Marilyns in Northumberland.
2017, I started on the Wainwrights and completed the ten highest summits in England by July.
