Jon Morgan and Stuart Johnston on the summit ridge of Mont Dolent © Ben Tibbetts

Crag features

This chain of peaks which ring the southeastern end of the Argentière Glacier provides some wonderful mixed and ice 'goulottes' for mid to high grade climbers. Mont Dolent is best known because the borders of France, Italy and Switzerland meet on the summit, meaning that when re-hydrating after your route, you and your climbing partner(s) could be 2m apart but in different countries!
