A lone boulder consisting of mudstone apparently which is part of the Mabinogion folklore. Carved in the past with the name maen Dylan. People have scrambled to its top for years as there are a couple of easy ways up it. The problems lie on the furthest side where the boulder is at its steepest. This is a minor venue and really of limited local interest only. Most problems are stand starts due to the low undercut barnacled base. Despite only being between 2 to 5 moves long the problems are reasonably powerful
Park at aberdesach beach. Walk along the headland until beneath the houses and drop onto the beach or just walk along the beach. The boulder is obvious in the distance. 15 mins from the car.
No access issues though the boulder is tidal. The landings are flat though a pad is appreciated. Fine for the lone wolf or the family climber to have an hour or so bouldering whist the children play.
