In the central part of the Pennine Alps, located between the Zermatt Breithorn and Liskamm. Usually done as part of a classic traverse with Pollux, its twin peak.
Either from the Monte Rosa hut (badly crevassed glacier) or from the Quintino Sella hut on the Italian side. It is also possible to approach from the Klein Matterhorn station in a day, or from the Bivacco Rossi Volante en route.
