AliRLee 7 Jul, 2019 AltLd O/S I'll be kind and not repeat my feelings I had after the ascent. Not my favourite... Perhaps if it was dry, but I won't be going back.

calumhicks 7 Jul, 2019 AltLd O/S Hmm... I think this would be a good route under dry, non-slimy, non-muddy and warm conditions, but I can only guess. Ali really enjoyed this one.

mishabruml 2 Oct, 2015 AltLd O/S Epic. Intimidating but rewarding test piece mountain E1, exposure is absolutely class. Fun traverse walk-in round the north of aonach dubh from our bivvy on the east face. led P1 and 3. P1 steep crux off the deck took a few goes, careful route-reading required to move from the slab into the wet groove, which was quite nails and scary. Beautiful drier laybacking moves higher up. P2 ultimate thrutch, Hugh dispatched it like a boysie. P3 the most pleasant, a tad easier but still not a walk. Did the VS continuation to the top, not recommended unless you are a connoisseur of roped soloing steep mossy rotten choss... 1 star in Gary Latter!?! Is it fuck! Was scarier than the E1!

Hugh Simons 2 Oct, 2015 AltLd O/S A full on epic mountain route! 1st 2 pitches are the hardest, I led the 2nd which has some super thrutchy moves in the chimney, 1st felt very hard (but that's probably because I couldn't feel my fingers from belaying in the cold), and the 3rd was just great! Some of the best positions I've been in in the mountains, excellent value for E1 that's for sure, well worth its stars. Did the 2 VS continuation pitches to top out on Aonach Dubh which are not recommended - extremely loose and as such very scary with very little good gear!

Ian Jones 20 Sep, 2014 AltLd O/S Top quality. Sustained, good rock, bomber gear and outstanding positions, particularly the 2nd stance. Unarguably 5c to get off the ground (egotistical thugs will disagree of course).

markfairbank 24 Aug, 2014 Lead O/S Everything about this is epic. Walk-in, every pitch, descent and walk off all tough. First 10m or so of P1 were pretty wet as was the chimney on P2, quite emotional. Exposure is something else.

tim newton 5 Jun, 2012 AltLd O/S In perfect condition, not a wet hold all route. The first 2 pitches are both brilliant and the 3rd is good. As good an e1 as I've ever done. Michael and me both thought each other had the quickdraws, so we didn't have any! Made do fine with 4 extenders and a few slings though.

lrandall 4 Sep, 2010 AltLd O/S Brilliant! Well worth the bush-wacking t takes to reach it. Lead 2nd pitch. Impressive lead from Andy on the very 'damp' first pitch, where the crux move is getting of the ground. The hanging chmney/groove which ends the second pitch was ruddy hard work, almost had me off (or rather out) twice. Thank god theres three cams stuck in the final 6 foot of the thing :)

Dougie Harvey 22 May, 2010 AltLd O/S wet and sustained, the chimney was slimey and eats cams, the extension pitches above were loose and dirty and we finshed just as it was getting dark but a thouroughly enjoyable mountain experience.
