βeta: The Silver Slabs are composed of a very clean psammite and though the lines are a bit arbitrary in the middle easier sections the climbing is fun though gear is spaced. A second ascent by the FA party when totally dry reckoned VS 4c and two stars as the climbing is good if the route is followed in entirety. Only the bottom overlap and the top pitch (well protected) are 4c, the rest easier. The place is ideal for the VS climber as the harder bits tend to have better gear and the rock a delight to touch. The descent should be taken well to the right looking down, aiming for the burn, worth carrying boots. | ||
